Careers
Work on the thing that takes people off the casualty list.
Ajira fits, runs and supports the cameras and tracking behind 15,000+ vehicles in East and Central Africa. The work is practical, it is measured, and it happens on real trucks in real depots — not in a slide deck.
Why people stay
Most technology jobs in this market are a long way from the thing they affect. This one is not. A camera you fit on Tuesday coaches a driver on Wednesday and settles a claim the following month, and you will see the number move in the client review. We are small enough that the person who fitted the unit is often the person who explains the report.
- Real responsibility early — our technicians and support staff deal directly with clients, not through three layers of account management.
- Training on hardware and on a platform that is used by oil majors, hauliers, schools and government fleets.
- A local team: decisions are made in Nairobi, not escalated to a head office in another time zone.
- Work that is measured honestly — we report the fleet's numbers to the client every month, good or bad.

Where we hire
Head office is in Upper Hill, Nairobi. Field and installation work follows the fleets — depots across Kenya and, on project work, the wider region.
Installation & field technicians
Fitting cameras, trackers, fuel probes and speed limiters at client depots, to the manufacturer's specification and to KEBS standards. Auto-electrical experience counts for a lot here.
Command Centre operators
Watching critical events around the clock for managed clients, verifying what the AI flagged, and getting a phone call to the right person quickly.
Technical support
First-line and second-line support for fleet managers and controllers: device faults, platform questions, reports, certificates and renewals.
Fleet data analysts
Turning trip, event and fuel data into the monthly review a fleet owner can act on, and into the compliance records an auditor will accept.
Sales & account management
Running pilots end to end: scoping the fleet, agreeing the baseline, presenting the result and staying with the account afterwards.
Training & enablement
Briefing drivers and controllers before a rollout, and bringing new client teams up to speed on the platform.

We recruit continuously for installation, support and Command Centre work, and we keep good applications on file. Tell us what you do, where you are based and the kind of work you are after, with a link to your CV or LinkedIn profile.
Ajira recruits on ability and character. We do not discriminate on ethnicity, gender, religion, disability or any other ground that has nothing to do with the job, and we will make reasonable adjustments to our process if you tell us what you need.
Your application is handled under our Privacy Notice. We keep unsuccessful applications for twelve months unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
